RF Modem Board and Chassis

The RF Modem Board (RMB) and Chassis are critical components of Proxilliant’s Cable Access Management System. RMBs are the primary communication path to and from the Intelligent Access Controllers (IACs), which are deployed deep the access network. Each RMB supports up to 254 IACs through coaxial cable connections at the headend or hub and is then directly interfaced to a local Service Health Manager Server. The RMBs, up to a maximum of 8, are installed in the Chassis.

For cable access networks requiring additional RMB coverage, the RMB/Chassis ensemble is readily extended to multiple chassis out of the single SHM server in the headend.
